The mobile apps

Temponia has companion apps for iOS and Android. They talk to the same account and the same data as the browser, so an entry made on a phone is on your timesheet the moment it is saved.

Signing in

Sign in with the email address and password of your Temponia account. There is nothing to configure per device and no separate mobile licence. If your account or your company is deactivated, the app loses access on its very next request rather than at the end of a session.

What you can do

• See your timesheet for a day or for a week, with totals per day and for the week.
• Create, change and delete time entries.
• Start, stop and cancel a timer, and change the note or the task on a running one.
• Search the projects and tasks you are assigned to, with your recent and most used ones at the top.
• Look at a tracked hours report for a week or a month, split into billable and non-billable, and broken down by project and by task.

What the apps take from your company settings

The apps read your company configuration and follow it rather than inventing their own rules:

• Whether entries are recorded as a duration or with a begin and end time. See duration versus begin and end times.
• Time zone, week start, working days, date and time format, and the minimum time to log.
• Whether the timers module is on. With it off, the timer screen reports that the module is disabled for your company.

Approval locks apply in exactly the same way as in the browser. An entry in a submitted or approved period cannot be edited from a phone either, and the app shows the status of the period you are in. Submitting a period for approval is done in the browser.

The timer is shared

There is one running timer per person, not one per device. Start it in the app and it shows up in the top bar of the browser; stop it in the browser and the app follows. Starting a timer while another one is running stops the first one and turns it into an entry.
