Company settings overview

Where each company-wide setting lives, who is allowed to change it, and which tabs appear when.

Last updated 25 July 2026

Company settings are the choices that apply to everyone in your workspace: how time is entered, which currency and formats are used, which parts of Temponia are switched on at all. They are not personal preferences. Change one and you change the app for the whole team.

Open them from your avatar in the top right. Under the Company heading the menu lists Company settings, Security, Company info, Modules and Integrations, plus Flexfields when that module is enabled.

Who can change them

Only the company owner and users with the admin role see that section of the menu and can open the settings pages. Managers and employees cannot.

Handing over the company is the one setting reserved even further: only the current owner can pick a different Owner on Company info. The person stepping down becomes an admin.

The tabs

Every settings page carries the same row of tabs.

Tab What it holds
Settings Timesheet behaviour and display formats
Company info Name, workspace URL, address, VAT
Enabled modules The switches for optional parts of the product
Invoicing Invoice defaults, taxes, numbering, e-invoicing
Approvals The submission and review workflow
Reminders When timesheets are due and who gets chased
Non-working days Company-wide holidays and closures

The last four only appear when the matching module is on. Invoicing needs the invoicing module, Approvals needs approvals, and Reminders and Non-working days both need reminders. See turning modules on and off.

Settings

The first tab holds two cards.

Timesheet settings, described as "How your team logs time", covers How does your team track time?, Log time between, Allow overlapping events, Minimum time to log, Active days and Week starts on. The first has by far the largest effect and has its own article, duration versus begin and end times. Rounding is covered in rounding and time formats, and the working week in non-working days and holidays.

Format settings, described as "Currency, numbers, dates and times", covers Currency, Number format, Date format, Time format and Time zone. The time zone is the one to get right early: it decides which calendar day an entry belongs to and when reminders fire.

Company info

Company name, Workspace URL, the owner, an I'm a company switch, address and VAT number. The workspace URL is the first part of your Temponia address, so changing it moves the whole workspace; Temponia signs you back in on the new address immediately. The VAT field only appears for EU countries with I'm a company ticked, and the number is validated before it is accepted.

Invoicing

Default due date, two default taxes, Invoice number prefix and Next invoice number, an Invoice logo, an Accent color, your IBAN and the Peppol identifiers. See invoice settings and numbering.

Approvals

Enable timesheet approvals, Approval period, Submission due, Send reminder emails and Only invoice approved time, followed by a table where you mark who requires approval and who reviews them. See reviewing and approving timesheets.

Settings that live elsewhere

Not everything company-shaped is on these tabs.

  • Sign-on, single sign-on and provisioning are on their own Security page in the same menu. See security and single sign-on.
  • Accounting and calendar connections are under Integrations.
  • Your plan, card and Temponia invoices are under Subscription.
  • Rates, budgets and billing types belong to a project rather than the company.
  • Weekly hours, avatar and password belong to a user.

Saving

Each tab is its own form with its own save button, labelled Save changes on Settings and Save elsewhere. Changes take effect for everyone the next time they load the page in question; there is nothing to publish or apply afterwards.
